Finish Line & Belks Deals!

So......I have been holding on to most of my Christmas cash...Let me preface that we save 80% of all checks/cash we get during the Holiday's and we each split the rest between my hubby and I.  So today with all my coupons I headed to the mall with a mission to complete....NEW running shoes!  I did not have any type or brand in mind, just comfort for what I intended to do with the shoes....some jogging.  I tried on 6 pairs and at the end of the day the most comfy pair was a pair of Reebok's AND they were $69 on sale ($20 bucks off).  I had only planned to get the shoes and some comfy inserts ($20) but with my handy coupon I had, I got 2 packs of socks (6 pair total), and a Live Strong bracelet in which I gave to the kids ALL FOR $88 out the door!
Of course my cash budget for shoes was $125 so that meant I had $36 and change left over to browse the Belk sale (all sale items extra 40% off plus 20% off coupon).  So I drug the kids through the Juniors Dept and found a great long sweater, black leggings (I could use another pair of those anyhow), and a purple and black dress all for work/church and a cute pair of button style earrings for $36.56 out the door!   Needless to say all my Christmas cash is gone!

Belks deals!

So over the past month I have been to Belks just browsing here and there and I have found a few good finds.....the brown sandals were orig $89 and I got them for $13!  I love them!  I found this great green bag for $8 and some old lady pj's for $9 and a great black/white light jacket for work for $8....there are so many great finds out there if you can wait it out and take the time to browse!   When it comes to shoes and clothes I prefer to spend as little as possible....however when it comes to myself I prefer to splurge (facials, etc).  Happy Shopping!

Farmers Market!

I have always bought my veggies from the grocery store but lately noticed that if they were not cooked up within 5 days they would go bad.....talk about irritating!  So I passed by a great farmers market and stopped in and found that their prices were the same if not cheaper than other grocery stores.  I took my chances and bought a few things and waited until about 7-8 days to cook what I had bought and everything was still really fresh (green beans, tomatoes, asparagus).  Today I went bought and got some lettuce, lots of squash, strawberries, onion, green beans, and a bell pepper all for $12!  I think from here on out I will be a weekly shopper at the ole farmers market ; )

Bargain finds!

So we went to a thrift store today (2nd time this week) and found some really neat things!  We actually went to puchase a foosball table but decided against it after much conversation.....did not think we we would get much use out of it BUT it was a great deal at $64!  So we opted for a few other "finds"for a total of $16...

Pair of decor vases $12
Chalk Board for Kendra $1.99
Therapist Select® Shiatsu Pillow  for Justin's back $1.99 (Best deal yet..msrp $40)

Thrift store shopping has it's perks!  Did I mention they had a few Coach Purses in the locked case?
